Maybe we will learn more about Flurry as a grown up in G5. Who knows maybe she’s the ancestor of Zipp and Pipp? Or maybe she’s alive in a coma and she’ll work to guide them back to the Old Equestria

Well, if the Crystal Ponies return in G5, we may just see a grown Flurry Heart as their ruler.
For all we know she could show up in the series. It’s not like they would even need to explain anything to new viewers or anything. If you recognize the adult Flurry Heart (if this really does take place in the future) as the baby from G4 then fine but if you don’t then it doesn’t matter.
