Yeah, these are what “bases” are.
 
This is a trace at best and just a color change at worst. Probably should get edit on it, too, as well as all the usual tags for a mare.

“base used”, is this even a base? I mean, yay for credit, but I’m p sure this is a trace, as I don’t think Kanashii has any bases. Unless tracing is using a base? Idk art terms.
 
So I googled it before posting this. Apparently to create a base you trace, if I understand this correctly, and a base is essentially a blank model, only the body no hair or anything. With that in mind, and the fact that I looked at the tag combo for kanashii and “base used”, I’d personally call this a trace and not a base? But I don’t know for sure so I’m not going to change the tags.
