My hope is he comes back as a nemesis for Princess Twilight. All the traps and defenses he put around the Crystal Heart indicate he was pretty cunning before being turned into a mindless monster, so if he regenerates himself into a “human” form, he could make a great opponent for Twilight, being just as smart and magical as she is.

He only did that stuff while he had the smog monster form. He might have lost that ability when he was forced back into unicorn form.

Now that’d be frightening… if only because maybe his magic couldn’t affect the Crystal Ponies but if his corruptive magic started to spread to other unicorns…

@Psycopomf Ya exactly. Kind of reminds me of Manus from Dark Souls. Heck, they both have a theme of darkness overtaking the land, and the power to corrupt.

I can’t help but think of Sombra in the same light as Voldemort while looking at this. Or maybe Sauron.
 
Simply destroying his body isn’t going to cut it. He’ll return soon enough.

You know, I think I realized the one scariest thing about Sombra. He started out as just a unicorn. Not a God of Chaos. Not a ravenous emotion eater beast. Not the exiled sister of god-royalty. Just a unicorn.
 
 
So it could happy to any unicorn… all they need to do is know about Dark Magic and not have as much control as Twilight
