D4A6 isn’t wrong, Pinkie Pie doesn’t have a brother in the canon of the original series. She does have a brother in Pony Life. I’m not sure why you bring up the Maud retcon, since it doesn’t really matter here. Pony Life is not canon to FIM in the same way that G4 isn’t canon to G1.

Pinkie Pie and her sisters do not have a brother in Friendship is Magic. But it would not be ridiculous to imagine Octavio Pie as being the Pie Sisters’ distant cousin. Or you could envision him as being Pinkie and Maud’s brother-in-law who is married to either Marble or Limestone.
