After a hard fought victory over 1st Texas Volunteer Infantry, Rough took it upon himself to gaze upon the battlefield, burning the flag of the regiment that sewed a blood feud with the Iron Brigade.

Yeah good song
There are at least three versions of that song now that I know of. I’m familiar with the very old version, by Harlan and Stanley from the 1920s. Although is uses a little bit of a slur, I appreciate it’s historical significance.
