This does raise questions about G4 Tirek, since humans are only humans on the other side of the Mirror, and none of the bipeds this side have human faces. Maybe some ponies, donkeys, and/or zebras with human fascinations–or humans who had stumbled through the Mirror accidentally and never realized they could get back–messed with the Pearl of Transformation in days of yore…

Griffon at large
That’s an interesting thought about the origins of hippogriffs. After all, the series (and movie) never specified, did it? (Although some sources swap ends for the equine/griffon parts depending on which species was the mother.)
