An interesting theory. Must‘ve been a very sad kid who thinks about his/her happy past a lot. That’s why the victims were addicted to the machine. Each object is a piece of their happiest memory, feeling nostalgic.
To be honest, I don’t know exactly what happen to victims, the player was aging then disappeared, no dead body, and the next victim to come in. It’s a short video.
