The castle was pretty much just a new place for twilight to live and sell a new toy. And the map was just a plot device to get the ponies to places

The cutie map and castle don’t matter anymore now, do they? It’s like they never existed at this point. Just swept under the rug for this supposedly awesome idea of putting Twilight in charge of Equestria.

Nope, they transitioned from the throne room scene to the brief outside scene from The Last Problem, and included one more bit (which I couldn’t fit in due to posting rules & clip lengths T_T)

And then the castle exploded. Starlight sustained mortal injuries. Hasbro gets sued for scarring children and sells MLP to the Filly Fantasia studio.
