Honestly, I'm pro mask, but social distancing at least 6-12 feet will protect you more than a surgical mask or other basic face covering. Even then, that only reduces your risk so much, because this thing is somewhat airborne. If you're gonna wear a mask you should wear at least an n95 or a cotton blend mask with multiple layers, wash your cloth masks and take care of them, have multiples you can switch between so germs don't build up and contaminate you. Personally, I wear a full face respirator and a buddy of mine has a half face. They're fun and actually will certainly protect you if used properly.
