I still like this show enough to watch it, and see it go through it’s ups and downs.
 
And the fandom output would keep me here even if the show fucked up enough to make me unwilling to watch it anymore.

Just because it isn’t ruined forever doesn’t mean it can’t lose popularity.
 
In regards to those other shows, it’s probably because of better story direction.
 
Gravity Falls had an end in mind and reached it, and every status change was in service to the story moving forward. Steven universe hasn’t ended yet, but it still indicates a conclusion in the works, even if it takes its sweet time in and out of universe to reach it.
 
MLP?  
Lives only to perpetuate itself and its brand, and is constantly aching for direction and something new to do when it exhaust its characters (usually prematurely) or realizes it’s not willing to actually move them.

Is the popularity of the show ruined forever because of the changes? No? Then why isn’t this show still as respected and adored as Steven Universe and Gravity Falls, just saying.
