@Lord You Know Who
Oh please,get a grip no one got screwed over a direct to DVD/””“show””” that was dumped on the Internet like the new Popeye cartoons and the Johnny Test reboot for free because it’s the cheapest way to broadcast things nowadays.It continue the trend of EQG being defined by creative laziness every step of the way.EQG is the second banana show
FIM started trends.Meanwhile EQG legacy is being the party pooper shitshow where Hasbro vulgarly reminded everyone that their franchise was going to be a toy driven franchise decided by out of touch people stuck in the 80s and more damningly (and even if i disagree with Faust with a lot of things,that doesnt make what happened more heart breaking) couldnt give two shit about Faust basing a good chunk of the show promotion trying to distance MLP from its most questionnable choice of following Barbie tier trends and given her feminist background,it was probably by conviction and not her paying lip service
It’ll never be as wonderful and meaningful because it cant,even if you dont get repulsed by the jarring character design and fucked up disrespectful excuse of a premise that cant be read out loud without sneering (seriously,try to convince people that watching a show about “magical pony jumping into a dimension where they turn into a Doug clored human counterpart then go to school to not miss the prom then its doppelganger appear and take its place as the main character)something will always lack,EQG doesnt stem from convictions of wanting to do better with the medium of “cartoons for little girls” beyond sparkle and glitter” like FIM at it’s core,the whole DNA of the god damned spin off is “being a concurrent to Monster High and not wasting money on a new IP but making economy by hijacking our cartoon that was blowing up online”
Give enough time for the dust to settle on G4,you’ll see more and more people scoffing at EQG for its inherent vulgar superficiality and the garishness of the overall product.It doesnt come from a place of an honest desire to do better like FIM which was at a time,lauded for it’s embrace of “new honesty”
@Hollowfox Jaeger
“with no way to properly end Equestria Girls”
Good. Fuck this shit.Got the miserable end it deserved,it’s justice for screwing Faust (Yeah i know FIM is collective efforts and all but no matter how you look at it,it was a dick move especially when it was Faust ideas that were the core of the Gen that dug up the MLP franchise from the grave G3 dug)

I think the Transformers movie may be the unnamed Hasbro-Paramount project supposed to premiere a week before the MLP movie (according to the list Paramount Brazil released a week ago). It’ll premiere in Brazil on September 30, 2021, so its American premiere may be 13 days before (on September 17).
@Hollowfox Jaeger
Considered how they were seemingly removed from that Transformers animated movie they were meant to do, and how Hasbro jumped the gun before 2017’s box office, I don’t have high hopes
@Lord You Know Who
Only the USA is getting the movie in September 24th. Other countries apparently will get it in October (judging by the Brazilian, Dutch and Turkish premieres).
@Lord You Know Who
That’s true. Even though Dún Laoghaire County Council forced Boulder Media to take too long to start production. If they’re involved.
@JustSomePainter11
It’s not just Covid-19. Heck, animators work from home remotely that easily. But it’s also the Dún Laoghaire County Council slowing down the development of the movie by rejecting Boulder Media’s proposal of a second animation studio in Dún Laoghaire for feature films. (As similar to Pixar and Sony Imageworks)
@Hollowfox Jaeger
Yep, that’s just sad. (I just checked and those dates I’ve mentioned actually are for Brazil, but still there’s the fact we didn’t know that another Hasbro-Paramount movie is supposed to premiere before MLP)
@Background Pony #0500
This movie would have been announced with a director, cast and crew in ComicCon at Home if it wasn’t for that piece of shit Dún Laoghaire County Council turning down Boulder’s new studio.
@Hollowfox Jaeger
It’s unlikely we’ll find out anything soon… Mainly because now there’s another Hasbro-Paramount movie scheduled to premiere in September 30, 2021 (once again, that may be the premiere date for Brazil).
@Background Pony #0500
I’m still wondering about the process because neither Hasbro nor eOne told the world jackshit about the movie’s development, production and Boulder Media’s feature animation studio. And with the pandemic going on, and Hasbro being antisocial on social media, we still don’t know jack about the new movie.

Whenever I say “This is why G4 will be forgotten nor redeemed”, someone just called me out and claims that the way I say it is obsessive and taking things too seriously just because of the G4 finale drama or because people are hyped for G5 even if it won’t be the same as G4. And he tells me to get help because it is way too obsessive.
