Just says “for the foreseeable future” so I’d say this is good and done unfortunately.

if it takes a dark turn, that would snap luna out of it, so she could be properly horrified, and start making things right except for the one pony who trusted her the most, dead by her power. if it doesn’t take a dark turn, moonie’s gonna be conflicted and run away from willow’s conviction which is way harder to deal with than some bull headed minotaur. then they’re gonna have to find luna, and fix whatever’s wrong with her, at great peril considering just who has her under his control.
 
it would be more work, but I think not taking a dark turn would be more impressive. friendship is more powerful than the most powerful weapon in the world, because no weapon is a threat to you, if its wielder won’t use it against you.
