Starlight stood no chance. Chrysalis was already stronger than Celestia when she got the Grogar power. If the beam struggle with Twilight’s clone is any indication, Twilight is a bit stronger than Chrysalis, and it’s been established that Starlight is equal with Twilight. We can infer that the 3 villains got an equal share of Grogar’s power, and since Cozy Glow essentially had a power level of 0, we can use her to scale what that was. Seeing how easily and quickly she bodied Twilight, we know she’s at least alicorn level, maybe even stronger than Twilight. Add that on top of the immense power Chrysalis already had, and she’s essentially double Starlight’s power. There is no way Starlight is defeating her in direct combat.

Agreed. Starlight wasn’t fighting with the same intent she had against Twilight back in season 5.

Starlight’s top priority was keeping her students safe. In that regard, she succeeded.

We all know Starlight could have taken her. We saw her melt a track field and hold back Dark Stygian.

I think Starlight could of taken it. She seemed to have Chryslais pretty much compeltely outmatched until she turned her back to her thinking she’d won.

Despite working smarter, I was kinda curious where she was walking to. Since she teleported so far away before the battle, you’d think she teleported back to Canterlot

What she should’ve done instead of turning her back and walking away, even though it was badass, was teleport back to the school.

Kind of wonder how long the battle could have gone on for if Starlight hadn’t turned her back at that point.

There’s a pony who knows how to work smarter instead of harder & fight against a physically stronger opponent.
