Gem weapons, as far as we’ve seen, don’t really work well on organic creatures… After all, one of those gem-disruptors won’t do much to an organic creature, as we see whenever Steven is under the effect of one, and while the gem’s ship-based weapons might work against organics, if Steven’s shield could block a shot from one, then Equestrian magic is more than capable of nullifying it.

There are plenty of great villains that can’t and don’t need to be redeemed. There are horrible people in real life who can’t or couldn’t be. You can’t just give everyone who does awful things a friendship speech and watch as they throw down their weapons and give you a great big hug.

Sugar already made it clear, though I can’t remember the interview, that she doesn’t believe in villains that can’t be redeemed, and the Crewniverse has a strong track record of turning slice of life content into retroactively important foreshadowing, so your statement is pretty future-proof.

Let’s be real here, they’re gonna do more slice of life stuff for S6, if there is actually a villain involved it’ll be redeemed, if I’m wrong I’ll gladly take the L
