Celestia and Luna were actually around at the time, probably alicorns, so I'm dnot in'clined to think there was really any instance of Star Swirl soloing Tirek.


 
At best, he helped Celestia and Luna stomp him, _***if_*** he was involved at all.


 
(Who knows, Scorpan might've helped beat Tirek the first time as well)

Celestia and Luna were actually around at the time, probably alicorns, so I don't think there was really any instance of Star Swirl soloing Tirek.
