Celestia and Luna are 1050+ years old and will die too at somepoint because they arent immortal either and so will Twilight reach that age and die too.But it will take 10 or more centuries for her to die but she can decide to end her life at somepoint to join her mentor her family and her best friends in the after life.

We don’t know if Celestia and Luna are immortal either. They might have a 1500 year lifespan.

My headcanon: Twilight is not immortal, she just has an expanded lifespan. She will die and join her friends eventually. Give it 150 years, 200 at most.

I know that ending is just way too bad and sad and twilight will be alone again after some years.And she will probably want to be with them again.So it would be better if they left them the way they are or just not make them this old in the 9th season and then start a new series all different, its really disgusting how they handled this so they can go into the 5th generation and ruin the entirety of the 4th generation of mlp.Btw is there a site that has all the season 9 episodes in english if you know?

They should make it like that rather than making them look way too old.Not even their parents were this old when we saw them.The mane six is in their 50s or 60 but twilight will go at 1050+ years and then die after centuries and will witness the death of her family and her friends and will only have Cadence and Flurry Heart still with her.But its really sad that they will end the one true generation of mlp and go in the awful g5 with changes to 3 of the main ponies no less.Twilight becomes an earth pony,Fluttlershy becomes a unicorn and Pinkie Pie a pegasi.I mean like what the heck?Thats just so wrong dont change them like that because of a different team.It just ruins the entire 4th generation timeline and it sucks so much.

Then again how do we know? Showing age has been a bit of a problem in G4. Twilight Velvet, Twilight Sparkle, Sugar belle for an example look exactly the same age and without context we wouldnt have an idea who is older than who.

They’re about the same age as their parents were in the main timeline
