Twilight Sparkle: There are two ponies who have watched over us night and day for as long as we can remember. We will no longer commemorate their battle or their reunion. Instead, we will take this day to celebrate how much they mean to all of us. From this day forward, today will be known as the Festival of the Two Sisters!

Here’s the thing, though: After some point, the meaning of the actual battle and reunion becomes moot. The fact is, the two sisters are now back together for good, so there’s no need to keep dredging up such a painful memory, one that really doesn’t need to be commemorated anymore. Celestia and Luna have been back together as family for years, so it’s time to move forward.

Just a quick reminder, that, as far as we know, Nightmare Night remains unchanged, and Luna’s banishment is still going to be pretty culturally significant to Equestria, most likely.
