Yep, that. That’s why I would have welcomed the show ending at least 3 seasons ago and a newer G5-show starting instead, with different characters.
@Xonxt
The show should have committed to switching focus or ending years ago. Instead, the M6 do not have much believable character development left and episodes that feature them often have serious character regressions.
@PaintEdits
You seem a bit bitter about the Student Six.
I’m not bitter about them. I’m simply not interested and skip the episodes with them. I get what they were going with. Trying to keep the show fresh by introducing new characters, but none of them do it for me. I will be bitter if they do end up being the ones that beat Grogar, mind you.
@Xonxt
I think you’re being a bit too pessimistic. Besides, the Mane Six aren’t going anywhere, even if they have developed to the point where their ep often re-tread old ground due to how the show is structured.
@Meanlucario
I kinda agree…. I’m also not a fan of the showrunners slowly pushing out and replacing the main characters, whom I love and who are the main reason I even started watching it, right in the middle or at the end of the show (instead of starting a new show or a spin-off with them). Maybe I feel that way because I’d been watching since Season 1 and it was a long time ago… Maybe the newer viewers feel differently.
It’s kinda like the Chloe Carmichael of the Fairly Odd Parents.
First Cunty McPurple Starlight Glimmer, now the Student6… I mean, I kinda like those 6, but I don’t like the focus being shifted to them. And yeah, they probably will be the ones to defeat Grogar at the end. I’d bet on it.
@Christopher Forrest
I also want spike to be the hero of series finale, that would be great.
He already pulled out the win for the sibling crown. I doubt he’ll get that, those 6 ocs I forgot the names of will likely win against Grogar after he makes the mane 6 useless.
