That’s a good point. It’s best to leave romance to the fanfics. It really bothered me that Maud was paired with a totally new character that was kinda annoying and I can see now that doing that with mane characters, lesbian or not could actually upset lots of fans. Though I don’t think having a homosexual pairing in cartoons should be avoided completly, it’s 2019 and LGBT is being more and more accepted. Just don’t go SJW and keep it lowkey.
The worst part about making Rarijack canon wouldn’t even be the backlash from moral guardians insisting that no LGBTQ+ pairings should be shown to children for fear of somehow “breaking” them. It would be the crowds of disappointed/enraged fans insisting that Rarity should’ve ended up with Rainbow/Twilight/Sunset/Minuette [strike out whichever is not applicable].
That didn’t stop them from pairing Maud Pie with Mudbriar or Big Mac with Sugar Belle in MLP:FiM, but making any Mane 6 or Humane 7 pairing canon this late in the series (either series) would just alienate too many fans.
I mean they have tried with Twilight and Flash / Timber… and got a crap ton of backlash. Though I think Rarijack is well supported and would be good for LGBT… just don’t make our waifu Fluttershy with Discord because that makes me want to commit forever dreaming in 4000.
I guess we’ll have to wait until the end to find out
Unless he was talking about past seasons, it doesn’t look like Hasbro is still convinced.
It’s the last year of pony so they’re probably free range to do whatever they’d like at this point
I don’t really like any of the crossover ideas but I love the lore development and increased info of background characters, the human world equivalent of some of the Equestrian character sound fun too!

I’m from Malaysia, so I don’t think I would make it to their studios to work. Besides, even though I love to write stories and fanfics, I don’t have sufficient diplomas or qualifications to be a show writer …
But if I am a show writer, I would focus more on:
