Description
Trixie gets a hug from her newest party member, the swordsnake Husam. Accused of a crime he didn’t commit and sentenced to prison, Trixie decided to set off a ton of fireworks as a distraction and set him free: she knows all too well how it feels to be mistreated and ostracized after doing no wrong ;P
Contrasting Trixie who relies on spells and a magic-based attack, and the as-of-yet nameless goo pony who’s limited to gimmicky spellcasting, Husam has a solid physical attack, good stat growth, and can cover other allies, serving as the tank of the party. Just be sure to remember he takes 1.5x damage from fire and ice attacks because he’s cold-blooded :D
(Trixie’s the anti-Twilight; arrogant instead of humble, and likes snakes, bats, cheese, and ladybugs instead of fearing them XD)

You can totally go in them even if you’re a non-trucker. Usually they have a “for professional drivers only” eating area, but everything else is fully open to the public. It’s not to be rude, either; it’s just so that drivers on the clock don’t have to put up with long lines :P
One of these days I’ll find a reason to check out the 5 star truck stops. :p
Truck stops are like hotels. There’s the skungy ones where the prostitutes and the drug addicts lurk, and the pristine 5 star ones XD

Yeah, there are these big truck stops that are basically borderline resorts. Big-assed store, big restaurant, bathroom and showers, tons of convenience food, like they are really good. Google the Iowa 80; you’ll be blown away :D
It used to be that people mostly just went to truck stops for petroleum, slurpies and (||
prostitutes||). But now I guess Wi-Fi too.Fingers crossed Elon Musk gets his world-wide satellite internet thing working soon. That’d be real cool. I could buy a sim card here in Mexico, but it’s just not worth it for the couple of weeks or so I’m gone especially when pretty much every truck stop ever offers wifi these days :D
That’d be nice. No rush.
I’m probably going to eventually. Maybe once I get back and have full internet access again. It’s real spotty jumping on wifi here and there, and real hard to find proper references and such :P
Combining both ideas worked well. I wouldn’t mind seeing more Saddle Arabians from you.
Also I’ve wanted to do an Arabian-themed OC for a pretty long time :D
I like this idea of Trixie stumbling upon a JRPG. I’m surprised that meme was the inspiration for this OC but now that mention it, it does make sense.
At least he doesn’t try to steal magic :P

Trixie’s life has just inadvertently stumbled into a JRPG. She started out just being on the road traveling around to put on a magic act and random events just started happening that are shoving her down the road of adventure. By the end of things she’ll have an airship, a couple dozen party members, be equipped with ancient legendary gear, have hundreds of thousands of bits worth of gold, and will defeat some ancient evil that threatens the entire world XD

He can cover allies like Cecil from Final Fantasy IV, either on command or automatically if they’re in critical condition. Other than that he just has really good attack and defense stats, can use heavy weaponry like swords, axes, and maces, and has lots of HP. If you ever played the Lufia series, he’s the Dekar / Guy of the group :D

Maybe. I’ve got a decent haul coming up where I’m on the road for a little over two weeks down into Mexico and back, on metered if any internet, so I’m going to get lots of drawing done and hopefully I’ll get some good ideas out of it, too :D
I’m definitely going to give her more than four party members too. I definitely want something like a thief, a monk, an assassin, and something that uses dark or evil magic :D

That picture’s what inspired this character too. It’s why he has the Arabian theme in the first place. He holds his sword in his tail :D

She’d be a really good JRPG character. She’s like the Ness of the group, with a decent standard attack, mostly support and buffing spells, and she can use pyrotechnic items that no other characters can use :D

He is a venomous-type lamia but since he’s an Arabian Cat Snake his venom’s not nearly powerful enough to be effective in combat, so he uses his sword instead :D
