If you really wanna boil it down, there isn’t really such a thing as “original idea” in creative media. You look long enough or hard enough, someone, somewhere has done it. Or something like it. What makes an idea truly unique is the way in which a person uses it. The building blocks might have already been used, but you can arrange them in a way no one else has used them before.
