A lot of people didn’t like that idea. I wonder why.
That’s why I don’t understand why people are so riled up over her not “being” in the trailer. She’s there.
Also this season’s supposed to wrap things up with hopefully Mane 6 focus to finish it like how it started in S1. So Starlight doesn’t have to be in everything… just normal spotlight for her.

It’s just that we’ve got lots of hype out of that trailer, and I couldn’t ask for more than a good closure with the Mane 6 as main focus to end this, but there’s people unsatisfied because Starlight wasn’t in the trailer?? Cadance, Trixie, Sweetie and Scootaloo weren’t on it either but you don’t see people making much of a fuzz about it?
Starlight doesn’t have to be in everything.
She’s not exactly eager to hog the spotlight post-reformation.
And no, starring in episodes isn’t the same thing.

Sorry if I was more bent over a simple back and forth than I normally would be. You didn’t throw insults or anything, so I just wanted to defuse it because I know we’ve had a couple pleasant interactions even if we don’t always see eye to eye, but my heart isn’t in it today.

Like I said earlier, I’m not exactly fond of her and certainly think the writers could have handled her better but I certainly don’t mind her. Anyone who actually hates a non-antagonist character, certainly to a point of actively syayting on them wherever they go really has too much time and energy on their hands and clearly doesn’t realize its just a tv show. Thankfully, I believe those people are nothing but a active minority.
Only thing i can say for certain is that it’s complicated.
I’m leaning on the latter.
That question aside, her character arc is mostly finished, is it not? Not that such a thing got in the way of the Mane Six.
The point I was making was that some might just dislike certain characters while liking certain characters, while others might vice versa. I could ask about why you care so much that I dislike some background character.

Why would it? Alot of Flurry-fans are also Derpy fans.
Sure you can, but Flurry is one such character who annoys me. Shoe-horning Derpy doesn’t bother me, but it may bother someone else who likes Flurry.
