I like family headcanons a lot too but Gaius doesn’t necessarily have to be related to Spike. I remember a while back I suggested that he was related to Ember. (See? I told you guys that I thought he was female.)
It can’t be coincidence, that Gaius looks literally like older version of Spike.
They need to be related, somehow.
