Alright, so-
This started off as a contest prompt, but I think I’ll actually be expanding upon this later, when I have the time :>
So, basically, this was a contest for drawing G4 ponies as G5 ponies (contest can be found here: fav.me/dcxg415 ), and here’s the first 2! I chose the 4 main princesses of G4 to start off with, but there will be more original characters for G5 coming soon when I make it :3
The G5 style is basically mine but fluffier XD
So, since the rules stated that I can’t submit more than 2 pictures, I had to roll the 4 princesses into 2 pieces, which… unfortunately… lowered the quality. To see them in better detail, look here: toyhou.se/MelonSeed11/characte…
I’ll resubmit these later separately so I can add their full profiles.
I have a whole heap of G5 headcanons, but I can’t be bothered to write them right now so here’s the basics of each character:

- She’s the supreme co-ruler of Equestria, and bringer of the sun.
- Has 2 daughters, Princesses Cadence and Twilight.
- Her husband is deceased (King Sombra)
- Is thousands of years old.
- Is a twin to Queen Luna.
Queen Luna: - She’s the supreme co-ruler of Equestria, and bringer of the moon.
- Has 1 estranged daughter, Princess Noctara (Later Queen Nightmare).
- Had a one time fling with stallion (hence her pregnancy), but never married.
- Is thousands of years old.
- Is a twin to Queen Celestia.
On their designs:
So… I really went all out on this one XD I almost completely redesigned them, but not so much that you can’t tell who it is in G4.
Celestia’s design is a lot more sun-goddess-y, with intricate accessories. I decided to scrap crowns for G5 mostly because I can’t draw them XD But it also feels a bit more unique, no?
Her hair looks more like it was based off of a sunset rather than the nonsensical the colours they chose for G4 XD
She’s got rose gold accessories and her body is peachy/ white with yellow gradients.
Her eyes are also rainbow, and she has a light dusting of freckles :3
Luna’s design was more like her original, just a tiny bit more edgy I guess XD
She’s got a claw thing on her pointed wings and she also has fanged teeth and slit pupils.
Her hair is black now with a swirly black/ purple/ blue mane.
Her accessories are sliver with pale yellow/ light blue accents.
Luna’s coat is a play on her G4 Cutie Mark, with dark blue, bubbly patterns on her legs, wings, ears and muzzle (Though to be honest, I probably shouldn’t have added the muzzle one).
And, just a little note, every pony in G5 has an eye shine that corresponds with their CM :3
So yeah… onto the other one!
