Yeah “Necro” posting isn’t a valid thing to say in image comments (as opposed to a forum thread) unless someone actually directly pings someone in an argument long since dead. Only in that context, where it feels like someone is talking as if “the heat of the moment” was still on, does it get rude or weird. If someone just makes a comment on a thing on their own, it doesn’t matter even if the previous post was from like 10 years ago. People still discover shit.

I’ve never posted here without the anon box checked, as far as I can recall. I just don’t want other users (like a certain one in this comment section) to try and make themselves look better in a disagreement by digging through my comment history in search of something they can use for ad hominem.

Yeah, but my problem isn’t with the mods. My issue would be with a few of the other posters, and this works just fine for me (as long as I behave, I don’t have to care if someone else doesn’t).

Not if you don’t have an account. That way, I can get banned as much as I want and then get back just by restarting my router. Currently at around 3000 years total of bans.
