In my opinion, the show is great, Starlight or no Starlight. I missed EqG and Twilicorn when the reveals happened, but I did see Starlight’s reform and Starlight’s first appearance. I personally don’t mind her, but I do hope she stays a unicorn, just because 1 alicorn in the Mane 7 was enough.

Oh that’s fine, I understand that people have since have differing opinions passing these different inflection points in the show. At first it was hard to take because around season 1 and 2, I thought people loved the show in the same way, but then s3 came along and it was never the same.
 
I use to even defend the show against those that said it was going down in quality. Arguing senselessly in comment sections.
 
Then I realized at the end of the day all that mattered was that I find enjoyment in it and celebrate the show in my own way. Guess the fanboy glasses were too tight on me those days or maybe it just came with maturity. Haha
 
It was fun though during the early days the cohesiveness in the fandom was amazing almost like a drug. XD These days I’m just glad there are people to talk about ponies with.

I’m Happy you’re happy. I enjoyed the first 4 seasons immensely no Ifs or but’s. Starlight was the end for me and these days I only watch for Trixie which ironically means I Have to watch Starlight as well despite actively avoiding her everywhere else. I think I’ve seen more starlight than any other character these last 3 years.
 
 
I’m hoping a fresh start with G5 will reignite the spark I had when i first started g4.

Is there any pony that thinks the transitions in the show were handled amazingly? Just me? XD
 
I didn’t have to survive anything, I love the show for what it is thus far and it has entertained me beyond my wildest dreams. The last long running kids cartoon shows to do that for me were DBZ, Yugioh, Samurai Jack, and Pokémon and that was when I was in middle school and high school! XD
 
MLP:FIM is keeping me entertained in my 20s! Around maybe 16 to 21 I hadn’t found a cartoon that could keep me this engaged. I’d say that’s a big win. Whatever Hasbro is doing with MLP I hope they keep it up whenever the next iteration comes.

Even if it happens next season, G5 will wipe the slate clean not long after.
