Also, neither is your opinion, also a lot may go wrong with the new show.
 
We live in an age where reboots are milked for cold hard cash, and where people who accept mediocre crap (just because have bad taste) do nothing but feed the money machine that churns out more crap. Which in turn ruins our pop culture, stories and characters.
 
Just because MLP FIM was done well in the past,is no guarantee that this will continue. We have every right to be worried and concerned by this.
 
P.S If by the sequel trilogy, you are referring to Star Wars and that unholy abomination known as Star Wars The Last Green Milk Chugging Jedi, then you are. Beyond salvation.

Legend of korra isn’t as good, but it’s still a great show. Your opinion is not a fact. Also, “SJWs” had nothing to do with korra. Also, the sequel trilogy has been great so far.

That show was awful and need I remind you came AFTER Avatar. I think you underestimate how far a franchise can fall including MLP FIM.
 
Let’s just hope MLP G5 doesn’t crash and burn like Alien, Star Wars, Terminator, Avatar, Star Trek and practically everything else the SJW’s and money grabbing mediocre writers + producers have ruined.

I think you’re holding FIM on a very high pedestal. It’s a decent show, but it’s not a masterpiece, not even close. Better animated series have come out before and since.

sigh I still feel bummed out a bit though, it’s quite a bombshell or should I say a bitter pill, knowing we will never again see Derpy, or Luna and Celestia.

I see. Well at least there’s plenty of room for creativity and novelty. But the problem is, this generation has set the bar pretty high, and expectations with it.
 
I can only hope the new generation lives up to its predecessor. I highly doubt it will surpass what’s already been done.

Technically there isn’t anything official that says FiM is an alternate universe and doesn’t take place in the distant future of a previous generation…
 
I mean it’s logical that it would be an alternate universe but I’m just saying that technically it was never confirmed.

G5 isn’t a sequel, it’s its own universe. The same thing has happened with every single generation before, G5 is no different.

“Sweetie Belle” and “Scootaloo” were names from G3. Hasbro is unlikely to drop them or “Apple Bloom” either.
