It’s weird due to the number of hits they had while they were still relevant…but like you said, they were very much a product of the music scene at the time, and when that changed they were left without an audience.
Still prefer them over Maroon 5, who egregiously and aggravatingly are still sticking up the charts with their unlistenable crap.
Right now 2018 going into 2019? Midtempo, radio friendly pop with EDM style production, trap rap and emo rap (the biggest genre of music right now), pop country, electropop style alternative rock, slow tempo R&B, and Latin music/Reggaeton.
But this is offtopic to the image so I’ll just leave it at that.

Hmmm. What would you say is the current style?
Oh yeah, there was that which by that point, no one cared about them because their style of club/party music was starting to go out of style.
They also performed at Superbowl 46 (along with other fad artists of the great young 2010’s)

They are; their last time in the spotlight was 2012.

As a music historian and music enthusiast, I can agree that Disco Demilition Night was one of the most retarded moments in music history. A bunch of butthurt rock fans interrupted a baseball game to go all Fahrenheit 451 on a bunch of disco records just because it was the most popular form of music in the country. These people couldn’t take different opinions. But the damage was done and disco was virtually wiped off the States in the next two years.
“Disco Demolition Night” was fucking stupid. Disco music is great! I listen to a group called The Trammps all the time, their most famous song is Disco Inferno(“Burn, baby, burn! Disco Inferno! Burn, Baby, Burn! Burn that mother down!”), but they have lots of great songs, like: Rubber Band, I Feel Like I’ve Been Livin’(On the Dark Side of the Moon), Starvin’, Love Epidemic, People of the World Rise, Shout, Where Do We Go From Here?, Groove All Mighty(which is funk, not Disco), Trammps Disco Theme, Save A Place, Hold Back the Night, That’s Where the Happy People Go.
Sorry, I just had to share some pieces of Disco music
I listen to.
This should be the last time

The early 2010’s were a beatiful time.
No, the one with the cropped image and the background.
