If you weren’t picturing someone’s face while writing the name down, it wouldn’t kill them, so if he was thinking about Cozy Glow’s face while writing it, it should have had no effect.
I’m guessing that “accidentally wrote down someone else’s name while picturing someone else’s face” would fall under that.
