Oh, why would he need to change? They could work in a message how it’s more about who you are than what you are, couldn’t they? And if it’s about sharing time underwater, a magical thingamabob should work out just fine.
Who knows. The griffins are not exactly a functional state, the Hyppogriffs spent the whole ordeal with the storm king hidden and not fighting and as far as we know, having a milicy doesn’t equal being a badass country, you know Equestria has an army, right? And how that turned on?
Well, considering that griffons are very easy to tick off and get into fights with, and the fact that Hyppogriffs are a very proud race that has a functioning army…
Well, that explains the emotion part.
Not to mention that now we have a Shakespeare worthy drama and romance story, except with less death and more tree sap.
Idea: Gallus and SilverStream go very close together. eventually, S.S. says that he can become a hyppogriff and live with them forever. Grampa Gruff forbids him because that would be throwing away his heritage. So He’d be torn on ether staying true to his kind, or leaving for a family that’ll accept him.
