Ya. The only thing is that hinges on Twilight’s comprehension of this apple and we’ve seen anything to confirm she knows anything about it.
(I’d be inclined to side with the latter.)

I think either interpretation could work, but since twilight immediately said “it’s all over now” once pinkie made a selfish wish, it’s pretty clear twilight knows that pinkie lost the ability permanently.
either that or the writers are talentless hacks who just failed at making a “wish not to have wishes” wish, and I’m just imagining this clever subtle foreshadowing out of desperation for the comics to not suck.
I guess it might just be because English isn’t my first language, but my interpretation would be her next wish made with good intentions would be granted. I’d think if anything she’d have to wish to lose the ability either on purpose or by accident.
The wording in Twilight’s description is interesting. “As long as their intentions are pure” – to me, that implies that the wishing power goes away when the intentions stop being pure.
I just feel it’s less likely to just stop it’s wish granting ability and more likely to just not grant said wish. Just my opinion.
I can just as easily ask “why would it”? Nothing explicitly states or even hints that the ability will be lost if a wish is made without pure intentions.

Wait, so that removes her wish granting abilities? I thought her ability only granted wishes if they were made in good intentions. If anything a wish without good intentions simply wouldn’t come true? No?
no, now that I think about it, it’s actually pretty clever. it didn’t grant pinkie’s wish here at all, otherwise the apple would’ve still been on the tree, since pinkie never ate it, and twilight wouldn’t remember any of the things pinkie pie “had never done.”
pinkie finally made a wish without pure intentions.
She gained the ability to make wishes, and while her wishes had good intentions were myopic and had negative repercussions on ponyville. Apparently wishing she never made those wishes destroys her ability to make any more wishes for the sake of plot resolution. I’d say all wishes made would be undone, but she’d still have the ability.
It was a good comic though, I would’ve just had her say something that would’ve removed her wishing ability too.
