Description
A scene from my fanfic, ‘The Awesome Spider-Dash: Origins’. which is a crossover between My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and Spider-Man.
Instead of Peter Parker getting bitten by the mutated spider, it was now Rainbow Dash who suffered that strange turn of events, and it was her who woke up with amazing new spider-powers. If you wanna know what happens after that, well then you just have to read the story yourself.
Now forgive me if I’m not the best at drawing hands (especially in close-up). That is still something I generally have issues with even on a good day.

You’re welcome and you will get better at drawing things like hands, just keep up practice.
Thanks. It’s good to know that at least someone appreciates my art.
I was being matter of fact. I like your drawing and I didn’t downvote it
Yes, and I apologised for that in the description. Feels a bit rude to insult someone for something they said they were sorry about.
Comic book logic.
i just meant to genetically modify a human before there are too many cells. which makes it easier as you need to wait less for the edits to spread through the body, becuase you are doing them bfore the body actually exists
Heh, I guess that can make sense.
In my fanfic however, the explanation I gave was that the spider that bit Rainbow was a wolf spider (even drew the one in the picture to look like one) that was exposed to alien radiation and then fused with the venom symbiote for a short time. Since the symbiote can transfer traits from one life form to another, as per its alien biology, it somehow gave the spider the same ability. The speed and strength was due to the wolf spider’s quick movement speed and powerful attacks it makes towards smaller prey, while the spider-sense came from an enhanced version of the spider’s ability to sense vibrations in its environment, the wall-climbing I don’t think I need to explain, and the web…well, Rainbow can’t actually shoot web without the mechanical web-shooters Twilight made for her.
In the end though, I don’t think I cared too much about explaining the how and why, since that’s not what the story is ultimately about.
Virus, and plasmids can introduce self replicating DNA modifications to a host organism, and a virus could have had its DNA modified by a viralphage.
Of coarse we could develop the DNA modifications for enhanced senses, and even web sbooting organs. Cognitive and sensory enhancement has already went miles, and science is more interested in spider materials from the most pragmatic perspective.
Really? Do tell. Now I’m curious.
The modifications would have to be self propagating. Simple proteins can make copies of itself by breaking down other proteins, like Mad Cow Disease. The spider would have to have evolved to do this to people, for certain species trade off.
We can breed spiders in a lab that could have cures or performance enhancers in their bite, in fact spiders have been dealing drugs before humans existed.
true, it is mainly for entertainment.
but the thing is that all of those would be possible, just not in the way that the movies show.
I think it was implied that it went into his blood, but honestly…I know science in comic books is pretty much rubbish, but that’s what makes it fiction. It’s like the mosquito in amber excuse they use for Jurassic Park. They make something up that seems to make some kind of sense to the average viewer, even if it doesn’t work in real life, in order to make a fantastical plot possible.
It’s utter nonsense, but so is a person climbing on walls by using spider-DNA or cloning several million-year-old dinosaurs.
