Yeah, but wouldn’t dragons also grow with age anyway, completely apart from their hoarding?
 
Or does this mean that, as the only non-hoarding dragon in that world, Spike would remain a tiny “baby” sized dragon all his life?
 
(I hope not the latter…I’d love to see him develop in the same way as dragons in other works and media do, over appropriate timescales. Maybe do an ep set as a flashback from the future, with big adult Spike recounting the events of the story to a future pony historian or somesuch. :)

My guess is when he starts hoarding again. Smolder did say how your hoard effects your size.

Cool! But the big question now is…when will Spike actually start to, y’know, grow taller? xD
