Reason for not being just a background pony:
Harvest Sun is Gentle Fall’s twin sister. They were born at about the same time, with Gentle Falls being the eldest by a few minutes.
With a multitude of stallions falling in love with the pure Harvest, Gentle Falls became a sort of guardian for her younger sister. Any stallion wanting to impress Harvest would find themselves hard-pressed to impress Gentle Falls as well. Unfortunately for them, Gentle Falls is critical and opinionated when it comes to the type of stallion she would pair with her sister.
