So when I first saw Princess Skystars Hippogriff-form in the movie, her forelegs looked like little human hands to me.
Some weeks later I read about SCP-2494 (thanks Scythemantis), and it all made sense:
Instance: SCP-2494-1-45-A Description: Female organism with characteristics of Equus caballus and several bird species. Instance is sapient and able to speak English, its personality is that of a human teenager. Hands emerging from ends of forelimbs. Notes: Instance refers to itself as Princess Skystar from the land of Seaquestria.
