Going to do some rather crazy theory crafting here. So Chrysalis’ magic has corrupted the elements. Want to know why magic starts disappearing from the world? Cause the Elements of Harmony have taken on a certain changeling characteristic. Ultimately, they’ll have to be broken and the last season will deal with forging new Elements to take their place. XD

Kids like to be scared sometimes. That’s why stuff like “Para-Norman” or “Monster House” or some of the darker moments in Disney films exist.

I guess this episode was not meant for kids after all.

I know right? I hate it when the show recycles tropes and motifs from previous episodes, its getting old.

I don’t think I’ve been this disturbed by an image from a kids’ show since Powerpuff Girls “Knock It Off.”

I love how the Tree of Harmony deals with the clones(?) by sucking the life right out of them. Like a scene from a horror movie!

Constantly seeing the Mane 6 in meaner/darker forms is getting really old at this point.

Well, Chrysalis is lucky nopony else out of the Mean Six was interested in fighting her, otherwise the Tree could have failed to save her in time!

I see her as being weaker than a rather powerful unicorn, when she’s not powered up on a lot of love. Shining Armor could take her on in a straight fight, I’d like to think, Cadance, Starlight definitely can, the real Twilight, of course, Celestia and Luna, that’s a given, because Chrysalis herself thought she’d lose to Celestia, being surprised when she won, and that was when she had a lot of power.
