Jesus, she flew so fast after she got fried there she made it all the way to Borneo from Equestria. That’s impressive!
Transmission lines like that are aluminum, not copper. Also the wood of the pole has very high resistance and would be a very minimal fact towards electrical shock. (would take 800+ V 100+ A to make a pole to begin to smoke, slightly less when wet, but said water would steam and bring up the resistance and required power draw, but by that time, line fuses would’ve likely popped by then)
Wow, thanks for the info.
no actually it’s because electricity takes the path of least resistance and the birds do not conduct electricity as well as the copper wires the electricity is running through so it’s all like “fuck you bird you’re a waste of my time” and goes on its merry way
if, however, the bird touches TWO wires, and one wire has a higher voltage than the other, then you’re gonna be smelling some roasted bird
the bird will also be roasted if it touches a ground at the same time as the wire (something with zero voltage, such as the wood of the power pole)
so scoots might get electrocuted if she touches a wire while sitting on the wood
Edited
wew buddy, that’s rough
I thought they didn’t have enough body mass to make the electricity want to jump into them.
yes
do you think irl birds are resistant to electricity? they’re always on those wires
So… she won’t die? Is that what you are saying?
seriously some of the best scoots art in a while, though
