Yep. Originally the production staff wanted to use that logo for the current series! I kinda want the definitive logo for Gen 5 to look similar to it.

Based on other comments on this picture, it’s likely a placeholder until they make the real logo. This logo was also used for Friendship is Magic early on in development.

The odd thing about Chevistian is that as far as Hasbro, the guy hits 80% of the time, for that reason I give him the benefit of the doubt, as far as art is very likely to be true, up to this point it is speculation, also taking into account that he is a fan of Hanazuki and the Little Pet Shop.

Okay the Image this was lifted from, also claims there is a Hanazuki Movie in the works; But claims TFW2005 as it’s source. There is no mention about ether Movie at TFW, so the source is fake.

Heres’s to hoping that the writing department actually puts some effort into the story this time around instead just of reahashing and ripping off animated Disney movies in order to move the story along. Also releasing a kids movie that’s based off a toy line that’s marketed more towards young girls and little tykes on the month that is dominated by movies about killer clowns, ghosts, slashers, and monsters in general doesn’t help ticket sales in the box office.

Chevistian, so… probably not.

inb4 people get upset about how “girly” the logo looks. This was actually an early logo that was planned for FiM. I’m assuming that it’s basically being used as a placeholder here until they make an official one.
