The title is a bit of a play on words, because of the term “sonic boom” and the “Sonic Rainboom” thing that Rainbow Dash can do in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, plus the Sonic Boom series. As such, I decided to draw Rainbow Dash and Sonic in his Boom design side-by-side. “Dashie” is posed like that because she’s supposed to be fluttering next to Sonic – the pony drawing isn’t 100% perfect and the anatomy is not quite accurate, but I tried my best. This is my first time drawing any of the MLP characters digitally. (Sonic and Rainbow Dash are a perfect match - they seem to be a lot alike! 😄)
