Well, I'm not really so much "crying out in terror"., more so I just think having them both be so similar to each other is kinda stupid and overused.
I think it would've been a lot better if it was done along the lines of the Jessica and Roger Rabbit thing, where they're different but make each other happy.
I really just think having Mud Briar's personality be very similar to Maud's lessens his uniqueness as a character. I really think it would've been better if he was pony who gets easily excited and passionate over geology, which was what drew Maud to him, and the fact that he makes her happy and laugh.
