I really don’t see an excuse here. Even if she didn’t see it, she still didn’t seem to care for anyone’s wellbeing. They could have died and her reaction was pretty much, ‘lol don’t care. I’m still the best.’

I don´t think she saw what happened. She did not seem to realize dangerous the tornado became. Later she felt bad (even before she was kicked out).

She just got carried away a little bit and underestimated how dangerous the tornado could become. That is no reason to publicly humiliate her and kick her out without even a warning.

I blame Spitfire for that. She encouraged Lightning all the time. If Spitfire would have done her job and corrected her behaviour earlier she and Rainbow would never have created that tornado.
I agree that the mane 6 does have part of the fault, but not all of it. Still, Lightning was being selfish and irresponsible, there’s no denying that
What she AND Rainbow did. Everypony involved in the accident is to blame (including Spitfire and Twilight).

it’s fine, that’s your opinion. In my opinion, she would still fly. Maybe seeing how fast she is, she would have light armor so that it doesn’t compromise her speed and attacks. Maybe made her a dual-wielding type of guard, not using deffenses, but her speed to dodge attacks. See? Her speed and fly habiliteis can become quite handy for Shining Armor and his army
Also have Flash Magnus be like their captain along with Shining Armor.
