Description
There is one problem with normal porcelain cups like the one I painted in late 2016, they always seem fragile and every time I take it along to a brony meetup I am wondering if I am going to get it back home in one piece. Because of that (and because of me developing enthusiasm for pyrograhpy), I bought a wooden cup at a medieval fair shortly before last Christmas. I burned an image of my OC Leafhelm, drawing a map into the cups surface. I am very happy with how it turned out. The cup is very solid and without any real risk of being accidentally broken.
As a regular cup for brony meetups this one does come with some drawbacks however. I am shy to drink anything but water from it because I fear that anything else would leaf remains on the not perfectly smooth interior of the cup. While I am drinking water most of the time anyway, I cannot use the cup for the hot chocolate which is often served at the winter meetups. Moreover the cup does give a slightly woody taste to the water I am drinking from it. So in the long run I fear the cup is mostly a work of art I am happy with for what it is, but for the regular meetups I may still have to find an appropriate and unbreakable drinking vessel ;-)

Thank you very much, hatitantunholycity :)
In case of my oc, the helmet is one he dug up near some ruins as a foal and it was the moment when he got his cutie mark. The helmet of my OC (not quite visible in this pyrography) would be too large for him (possibly not even made for a pony to begin with) and possibly with some rusty stains on it.
The helmet fits thematically really well with pyrography.
