“Monster are made and born” last I checked the entire concept is that people become monsters due to the experiences in life, so no, it’s made if choice is remotely a concept and people aren’t railroaded down a destiny. Period.
 
The Umbrum have barely enough power to send him through and explicitly state it was an act of desperation. How well do you think it would’ve went sending an adult through if a child was pushing it?
 
And how exactly are the Umbrum to make contact? They can’t crossover and it’s acknowledged it’s a complete fluke Radiant can even see their illusions.
 
Frankly, and how you can justify this is baffling, there are innocent bystanders amongst those imprisoned. That blanket zealotical ignorance of all of them are evil has trapped children in that prison with the ones actually responsible, which would lead to them being just as dangerous purely as a survival instinct.
 
Yes, this is the story of a horrible country built on torture being praised for sending an entire species to their own personal hell.
 
The Empires just as explicit as the Umbrum, and by gods they’ve gone even further then the Umbrum ever did and crossed every line along the way.

Some monsters are born, others are created, none have to stay a monster. Evil can be overcome, but only if they have a desire to do so.  
And that’s what I’ve been saying this whole time, Amore knew that she couldn’t do anything for Sombra except to turn off the Crystal Heart and that was not going to happen because the umbrums would overrun the Crystal Empire. She knew Sombra was an unbrum that had taken pony shape, and she told him that he could overcome the evil inside him, which I will admit was pretty fucking vague and probably didn’t help, but we’re never shown Sombra trying to figure out why he was in horrible pain every time the Crystal Faire, he was like “Oh shit, I’m dyin– Oh, wait, no I’m not, nevermind.” for like 12 years, and the only other person who knew about this was Radiant Hope, and don’t get me started on her stupid ass.  
Sombra, at any point could’ve gone to Amore and ask her to explain what was happening, Radiant could’ve gone to Celestia or Luna and ask what was happening, they decided “Let’s deal with it and see what comes out of this” like a bunch of morons.
 
Worse yet, you’re acting like the umbrums were completely innocent bystanders, when they send a child which they knew would be in extreme pain every time the Crystal Heart flared up to act as a sleeper agent until the day he was strong enough to attempt a takeover.
 
No one, at any point, did anything besides sitting around with their hooves up their asses. The only person who tried to do something was Hope when she tried to heal Sombra, and that was like two years into the story. This is not the tale of the ponies usurping the land and their leader taking sadistic glee on a child’s pain, this is a bunch of dangerous psychopaths creating a tyke bomb and fucking with his mind until they could turn him to their side and kill anyone who opposed them.

I used that to make a comparison, seeing as the intent went over your head.  
You fail to understand that there is an uper limit to what is acceptable as a response to any threat.  
That there is a point where you yourself become just as much a monster as the creatures you fight.  
The fact Sombra had none of the supposedly inherent traits prior to his torture and the realization of just how much the people he was raised to trust lied to him.  
They didn’t give him a safe place, they left a murderous artifact so poorly designed and placed a toddler could do better right next to him.  
The only one who genuinly cared about him was Radient Hope.
 
You operate on the idea that monsters are born and nothing can change that, a frankly disturbed idea and one that follows the exact same train of thought as racism and extremest ideology.
 
And frankly the laughable idea that Amore couldn’t both protect her nation and not be a completely negligent fool is astounding. She had twenty something years to even talk and reason with him, to do the bare minimum of providing an enchantment to prevent the murder of a child. Not a sleeperagent, but a child who had no idea of what he was and genuinly loved the single person who tried to help him.
 
Frankly all you’re doing is showing a sheltered mindset.

Ah, I see what the problem is. You saw a racial issue where there was none and can’t accept the fact that the beings that tried to murder an entire kingdom may possibly be evil, and that the artifact that was created to keep them from doing that is doing it’s job even when their sleeper agent isn’t aware of his true nature, and that the ruler had to choose between allowing the suffering of an individual against the lives of her entire kingdom.  
And hey, it’s not like Sombra is inherently evil or anything, he just has a disposition for murder and slavery, that’s all.  
Really, instead of taking it out on the beings that made him that way, trying to destroy the ones that gave him a place to live and a chance for a normal life makes a lot of sense once you crack down and really get your noggin joggin’ about the issue.
 
As cynical as it may be, an individual is not worth more than an entire population, and Amore did everything she could to protect her people from beings that had shown nothing beyond determination to kill her and everyone she cared about. It’s not genocide, and act of war is an act of war, and if they’re willing to send their own children to fight the ones trying to defend themselves cannot be blamed for it.
