It’s dumb, but a lot of fun. I’m not a very imaginative person so when something like this comes along that combines so much stuff that I like in the craziest way possible I’ll leap aboard. The ShipPons have also provided pretty good practice with things I struggle with like painting, composition and perspective, so bonus!

its not just dif resolution and its not jsut stretched, there’s actually differences. the clouds in the background are different and it actually shows more water along the bottom.
 
and more importantly, this is the version now on DA

It’s not just a different resolution, it’s also cropped and stretched and has lower quality than the original. I genuinely don’t know why this is here but the mods seem to think it should stay so whatever. As long as it doesn’t end up replacing the original.

Oh - I have no idea what’s shooting at them, or even that Dash is a battleship. In fact the title seems to indicate she’s a destroyer, not a battleship.
 
Note; whenever I say “battleship” I don’t mean a ship of battle, I mean the literal type of ship designation “BB” (battleship).
 
It’s just that the description saying Dash is taking one for the little guys - that’s exactly kinda the role of a Battleship.
 
But yeah - destroyers did carry torpedoes, which were decently effective against battleships, especially considering ships carried larger ones than airplanes.

Shame they don’t have a Spy or AEGIS system.

So, Dash has a destroyer gun, but the description actually has her playing the role of a battleship.
 
They really were kinda the group tanks of a fleet. Take hits for the small guys.
 
Though that was battleship rounds, which a single one would sink a destroyer, but a battleship could take them.
 
Destroyers I think were typically smart enough to just focus other destroyers, though. Little 3 to 6 inch guns won’t do much at all to a battleship.

Oh, there really is a little teensy Cloudchaser and Flitter in there.
