/Happy Rant: One of the reasons I loved this episode is the fact that Twilight and company had the villain on the back hoof pretty much the whole time.

Twi and Glim straight up DENIED him during the first encounter, and then they all go into his lair, safely maintain their shield and take care of business.

The conflict wasn’t “oh crap, how do we stop this guy,” but rather “can we do one better?” Fitting given how stacked the good guy roster was, here.

Wasn’t there a legend of a “pony of shadows” haunting the ruins of the Two Sisters castle (and the primary reason the Mane 6 panicked during that visit they made that one time)?
