The main character’s a (not quite) ‘Mighty Pirate,’ whose sole actually impressive skill is being able to hold his breath for ten minutes.
Can they breathe underwater or have super long breath in some game you’re referencing or something?

Safe is stuff that’d be in the show,
Semi-grimdark is dark stuff but not terribly horrifying (which is annoyingly relative…)
Grimdark is stuff that’s gone in deep.
The detailed description for “Grimdark” says: “Note that images with a lighter tone, such as dark comedy, should be semi-grimdark.”
I’m pretty sure this qualifies as “dark comedy”.
