Description

The maps have Somnambula and Hayseed Swamp mixed up location wise. Rockhoof’s village look in a right place. The Dragon Lands are on the opposite hemisphere. Mistmane’s village, equivalent to China, is close to, if not, Starlight’s old town, make what you will. I’m starting to suspect one map or the other is not accurate.

I agree that Mistmane’s old village was located next too Starlight’s village and south of the western Crystal Mountains.
So Rockhoof’s village was located in the Griffish Isles? Was the Mighty Helm’s actual role defending the pony version of the Danelaw?

As we know, Starswirl had witnessed the founding of Equestria, so other Pillars did it too. I think that village is part of where earth ponies lived before their exodus.

Ah, nice. I’d wanted to do the exact same thing to see where each of the locations are, but I couldn’t make sense of that map. Now I see why.

The show has always played fast and loose with locations. The map we’ve been taking as “official” was nothing more than a backdrop used for the “Explore Equestria” toy display stand.
