It’s pretty sad to me. Twilight wants and tries so hard to prove that she is worthy of this great power and position that she’s been given. She barely gives herself any free time and often has a quite a few sleepless nights. She also has quite the tendency to try to please everyone at once(with a few exceptions like arguing with the townsponies that she and her friends aren’t perfect and shouldn’t try to be in Fame and Misfortune). Hopefully she’ll learn how to properly balance her work life and personal life before she collapses from stress and exhaustion when Equestria has an imminent threat.

I really loved that this episode cemented (at least for me) the idea that DHX had no intentions whatsoever of turning Twilight into some kind of emotionless Mary Sue after she became an alicorn princess. Status means nothing when you’re hurting inside. You’re still human equine, and you can’t be everything to everyone all the time. You’re not a superhero. You’re a little furry purple pony lady with a lot of smarts who sometimes has the fate of a whole kingdom resting on her tiny, wobbly shoulders.

Oh, poor Twilight… :_(  
If only I could do something to make her feel better…

she was so busy with her duties. this was finally her vacation time to spend with her family  
then she had to work even more during the vacation so her family could enjoy themselves  
and now she missed the one thing she wanted to do with her family while every had a blast  
poor twalaght. she is still just a pone
