I agree it is important to recognize that suffering makes rebellion more difficult, not more likely, and blaming people who are oppressed for not rising up against their oppressors is about as legit as adhesive toilet paper.
but it won’t be the first time a prison riot resulted in dead guards and escaped prisoners certainly unlikely from a group like ruby’s, but police aren’t undefeatable, just heavily advantaged. there were even successful uprisings in the gulags at least for a while. what made the gulags unbeatable wasn’t the “incredibly professional” guards. it was the miles of frozen wasteland between them and any sort of civilization.
She got help from the inside?
That makes a lot of sense, been a “master” of disguise and everything. I hope she found what she was looking for. Or wanted to attain.
Welll…. let’s just say that ruby definitely doesn’t tell all the details about such things. Some things remain secret to make sure she keeps an advantage.
