Yeah and it’s not only these anthros, almost all of them have the same type of build. Or it’s an anthro showing their butt , leaning a bit back on their knees with a finger inbetween their panties. Or it’s like his other series he recently did, with them standing up and the finger inbetween the panties (again).
 
There are such things called “the same face” syndrom but this is just same body syndrom. Using these in the show is normal as they have to make several hours of footage and they can hardly do everything frame by frame. For artists, this is just lazy and a perfect way to get yourself stuck in what you see as “art”.
 
YCH is also something different in use as people choose to have it and pay for it. These Mane Six series ain’t YCH though, just plain laziness.

Well like someone else pointed out, the mane six already look like each other in the show besides their manes and some differences in their eyes but their body types are the exact same. I will admit it is a bit repetitive seeing ALL the Mane Six in this pose cuz I have never done this before with anthro/human designs. I actually always draw the Mane Six as humans with different body types. Twi, Rarity, and Flutters are pretty much the same, Dashie is a bit smaller and petite, AJ is big and busty and well built, and Pinkie is plump and has a really big posterior. So yes, these ones are all a little cookie-cutter but it was mostly to experiment and get ready to kinda transition into doing my art like this possibly from now on since my PC is nearing it’s end and I might have to say good bye to my old way of making art on it. I originally just had Rarity and then I decided Twi was good too and then I said to Hell with it, I’ll do the other 4. I have a chubby anthro mare YCH coming up which will no doubt be good for Pinkie (and only Pinkie cuz it would look weird with the others).

If others want to pay and commission you for such things, that’s their taste and I don’t look down on them for liking it or you for making money off it. But me, I really don’t see the appeal. If the intent is that they are just YCH templates done to look like the Mane Six, then it kinda does follow that they lose any sense of identity or individuality. Is this really Rarity I’m looking at, or just a generic human that happens to have Rarity’s color scheme and hair style?

Alright, dropping the act. This IS the artist. Just here to twoll around but I’ll answer your question.
 
Basically I did the same thing they did in the show. I normally do my art in MS Paint but these were all done in Adobe Illustrator and are vector-based just like the puppets in the show. I just changed things like the hair, colors, cutie marks, and so on and I was able to pump out 10 of them in the past few days which is a LOT for me so I saved time as well. It would have taken me about 2 hours per character at the least to do my art the way I regularly do on my PC cuz my PC is slow and when I do it like that, I have just one entire layer in MS Paint of the linework. This way I just take the same body and give it simple edits and it works really fast. About the only differences besides it being anthro and having shading is I think they do the whole thing in Adobe Flash but it’s still vector based and you can import AI projects into Flash anyway.
 
Also, keep in mind (and no one uploaded these here so you probably weren’t aware they existed), I originally made these templates as “Your Character Here” assets to allow people to commission me to edit them as their characters which is what a lot of professional artists like Atryl have done before. I made over $100 from these anthro YCHs so far in the past few days so I am working just like the people at DHX do, just a bit of a different method.

Because the show uses Flash animation and reused assets across the board to save time and money. What’s this artist’s excuse?

IKR? dafuq is wrong with people dey call themselves artist yet just do same shit over and over again with palette swap bs! good thing DHX not do that in show……… oh wait. O.o

In the show, there’s very little variance in the facial and body structures of most of the female ponies. There are differences in eyes and the mane though.

I really dislike artists who do this, just change the hair and palette swap them otherwise. No variance in face or body type, just recolor and change the hair. Because Rainbow and Rarity and Fluttershy and Twilight all have the same figure and facial structure, right?
